Got my braces tightened yesterday, and man, today eating breakfast felt like trying to chew gravel. I thought I'd gotten used to it after a few months, but nope, still hurts like crazy every time they tighten things up. I mean, it's worth it in the end (I hope), but still...does anyone else feel like they're back to square one pain-wise after each adjustment, or am I just being a big baby about it?

Nah, you're definitely not alone. Every single time I got mine tightened, it felt like my teeth had forgotten everything they'd learned about chewing. I remember once trying to eat a banana—literally the softest fruit ever—and even that felt like biting into a brick. It usually eased up after a few days, but man, those first couple mornings were rough. Hang in there, it'll get better...eventually.
