I totally get where you're coming from with the electric toothbrush thing. I tried one for a while too, and while it wasn't exactly drilling for oil, it did feel like my teeth were vibrating out of my head at first. Eventually, I got used to it, but honestly, I'm still not convinced it's doing anything magical compared to my trusty old manual brush.

One thing I've been wondering about thoughβ€”does anyone know if there's actual solid evidence that electric brushes significantly reduce cavities or gum issues compared to manual brushing? I've seen some studies claiming they're better at removing plaque, but then others say the difference isn't really meaningful if your brushing technique is already good. My dentist swears by electric brushes, but I'm skeptical since my teeth seem fine either way. Maybe it's just personal preference after all...
