Five days is pretty quick, but honestly, I've seen it happen! Everyone heals differently—I've had patients back to burgers within a week, while others take their sweet time. Sounds like you had a smooth recovery...pizza's a solid choice for a first real meal, btw.

Five days seems super quick to me—I mean, I'm glad it worked out for some folks, but I'd be cautious about jumping back into pizza so soon. I remember when I had mine taken out, I thought I was fine around day four or five. Pain was manageable, swelling mostly gone...so naturally, I decided to test the waters with a sandwich. Big mistake. I ended up irritating the extraction sites and setting myself back another week or so. Lesson learned the hard way.

Honestly, everyone's different, like you said. But from my experience and what I've heard from others, it's better to err on the side of caution. Pizza crust can be sneaky—chewy bits getting stuck or poking around in sensitive areas isn't exactly fun. If you're craving something solid, maybe go easy at first? Pasta was my safe bet—soft noodles, gentle sauces, nothing crunchy to worry about.

Not trying to rain on anyone's pizza parade here (I love pizza as much as the next person), just sharing a cautionary tale from someone who's been there. Healing can be deceptive—you might feel fine outwardly while your mouth still needs a little extra TLC inside. Anyway, glad you're feeling better overall...just keep an eye on things!

Yeah, I get the caution, but honestly I was back to pizza by day five or six without any issues. Just stuck to thin crust and avoided toppings like pepperoni that might irritate things. Everyone heals differently, so sometimes you just gotta listen to your body...

That's very true. My daughter took nearly two weeks before she felt comfortable eating anything remotely crunchy or chewy. Patience and gentle foods were key for us—every recovery really is unique.

Recovery timelines really do vary a ton. I've had patients who bounced back in just a couple days, and others still feeling tender after two weeks. It depends on so many factors—age, complexity of the extraction, how impacted the teeth were, even your body's natural inflammatory response.

One thing I've noticed is people often underestimate swelling and soreness in the jaw muscles themselves, not just the extraction sites. Gentle jaw stretches and warm compresses can sometimes speed things up a bit—but again, everyone's mileage varies. Soft foods definitely help, but I've seen folks push it too soon with pizza or chips (tempting, I know...) and regret it later.

Your daughter's experience sounds pretty typical, honestly. Two weeks isn't abnormal at all—wisdom tooth removal is no joke for some people. Patience really does pay off here; rushing recovery rarely goes well. Glad she's feeling better now!
